Yassin laughing straight into the camera, lagoon soft behind him. Warm, not cool.
Your instructor
I'm Yassin.
I've been on this water since 2017, and on the water in general for as long as I can remember. Since then I've taught [NUMBER]+ people to kite in this lagoon — people who had never touched a board, and riders who wanted to finally go upwind properly.
My job is simple: get you riding safely and independently — and send you home with the best week of your trip.
How we teach
What you can count on.
You're not a number in a group
Small groups and one-to-one lessons. The coach watches you, not six people at once.
Safety before everything
You learn how to stop, release and self-rescue before you learn how to go fast. Every lesson starts with the conditions of that day.
Become independent, quickly
Most people ride on their own after four to five days. You leave with an internationally recognised IKO certificate — your ticket to rent gear at kite centres worldwide.
We've learned this water inside out
We grew up doing watersports, and we've been riding and teaching in Dakhla since 2017. Which spot works today isn't a guess.
Mobile and flexible
We pick you up and find the right spot for the conditions and your level. If we can't find you good conditions, that one's on us.
Everybody is welcome
Beginner or advanced, young or old, swimmer or non-swimmer, English, French or Arabic — we'll teach you.
Lessons run in English, French and Arabic. Yassin speaks all three fluently, so nothing gets lost in a language you're only half comfortable in — least of all a safety instruction.
Radio coaching
We talk you through it, while you're riding.
The moment you get your own board, you get a radio. So when you're out on the water and something isn't working, you don't have to come back in and guess — your instructor corrects you live, in the moment it happens. It's the single thing that speeds people up the most.
The van at the water's edge, back doors open, kites and boards coming out.
What makes us different
We come to you — and we follow the wind.
We pick you up from your hotel or camp, and we go wherever the conditions are right that day: flat water for your first waterstart, open water once you can ride. A fixed centre teaches wherever it happens to stand. We don't have that limitation.
The path
From never having touched a kite to riding on your own.
Five days is the usual arc for a complete beginner. If you already ride, we pick you up wherever you are — upwind, transitions, first jumps.
Day 1 — Kite control
Equipment, safety systems, flying the kite on land.
Day 2 — Body dragging
In the water with the kite, recovering your board.
Day 3 — Waterstart
First rides on the board.
Day 4 — Control & upwind
Speed control, staying upwind, riding where you want.
Day 5 — Turning
Changing direction. From here you can ride independently — and you get your IKO certificate.
After that
Switching stance, first jumps, whatever you want next — or rent equipment and ride independently.
The water
One lagoon, several very different spots.

The lagoon is shallow and flat enough to stand in across large stretches — the reason Dakhla is one of the easiest places in the world to learn. Other spots nearby suit stronger wind, waves or speed.

Yassin and his team are real professionals and always available — they answered all our questions and showed us the best spots depending on the tides and the wind. Highly recommended!!
